CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)
Healing Harvests CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is an outreach project servicing the greater Paducah area with the goal of bringing products from local farms to the tables of our community. Healing Harvests differs from many CSA programs in that the members, as well as the farms, are represented by the coordinators. Healing Harvests works directly with area growers to supply the membership with a healthy, sustainable alternative to concerns inherent to large scale commercial farming. The participating farms benefit from our marketing and oversight while embracing the accountability as service oriented community citizens. This process creates a "circle of sustainability" that serves all participants. Healing Harvests serves its membership through and operates from the Heath Health Foods store in Paducah. Since 2007, the CSA has partnered with local growers to provide vegetable boxes, fresh fruit, baked goods, flowers, eggs, beef, poultry and lamb to over one hundred local families.
Our offerings continue to expand as the 2010 season approaches. As a business, a ministry, and individuals we recognize the advantages that fresh, in season products grown to the highest natural standards provide to the consumer. For this reason, we add our labor and diligence to that which the growers provide hoping to continue these Healing Harvests for years to come.
Membership creates a partnership in this community project. The membership fee to participate in Healing Harvests starts at $35.00 and allows access to all local product offerings. Members recieve a 10% - 25% discount on products offered through Healing Harvests. Most offerings require advance commitment and are only available by request and prepayment. Members have pre-assigned dates and times items will be available for pick up.

Rivendel Farms is a family owned and operated enterprise utilizing natural stewardship to protect the land, water and air they hold dear. Rivendel produces vegetables, eggs, meats and baked goods as well as herbs and fresh cut flowers. They have serviced the Cadiz area through the local farmers market and look forward to providing our CSA members their farm fresh products.
